This ticket allows you to visit and enjoy the Inca city of Machu Picchu: temples, monuments, enclosures, andeneria and other constructions that are in the citadel. In addition, it includes the visit to the Site Museum of Machu Picchu.

The Machu Picchu Site Museum is located very close to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), at a distance of 1.7 km, at the foot of Machu Picchu mountain. In the museum you can see an archaeological collection of 250 objects found during the excavations that took place in Machu Picchu, lithic artifacts, metal pieces, agricultural tools, pottery, mini sculptures, ornaments, bones and skeletons. In the museum you can also see an interactive and dynamic display of infographics, panels, maps and videos that will help you better understand the cultural and historical significance of Machu Picchu.

Admission hours with the Ticket Machu Picchu + Museum

The entrance to Machu Picchu is done in two shifts, and according to the scheduled ticket Machu Picchu, the schedule of visits to the museum should be scheduled. The Machu Picchu Site Museum is open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m .; the entrance ticket to the museum does not have a fixed entrance time, which allows you to adjust your itinerary to visit it.

First Schedule

• Ticket Type: Ticket Machu Picchu (First Shift) + Museum.
• Visiting hours Machu Picchu: 6:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Visiting hours Museum: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

If you chose the first schedule, you should visit the citadel of Machu Picchu in the morning at the established time, then you can visit the museum, either at noon or in the afternoon.

Second Schedule

• Ticket Type: Ticket Machu Picchu (Second Shift) + Museum.
• Visiting hours Machu Picchu: 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Visiting hours Museum: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

If you chose the second schedule, you should first visit the Museum of Site in the morning, then, after noon, enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

When to book the Ticket Machu Picchu + Museum?

This ticket is reserved according to the availability of the Ticket Machu Picchu Only (morning shift or afternoon shift), so it must be booked several days in advance to secure your space for the date you want. The museum’s income is subject to the availability of the Machu Picchu Ticket.

Important information

• When you buy your Ticket Machu Picchu + Museum you will be sent two tickets, one to enter the Inca city and another to enter the Museum of Site.
• To enter Machu Picchu and the Museum of Site you must present your personal identity document and the printed copy of your tickets, as applicable.
