Machu Picchu is located in the district of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village), in the province of Urubamba, department of Cusco in Peru, at a height of 2438 masl It is located between the Andes and the high jungle of the Amazon, the city Inca rises between the mountains Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu and surrounded by the Urubamba River. 1. 1Urban Zone

   • The urban area, in turn, is divided into two sectors:
     • Sacred Sector or Hanan, this area you can find the most outstanding Inca buildings. In the Sacred Square are located the Main Temple and the beautiful Temple of the Three Windows, also the Temple of the Sun Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb, the Real Residence, the Pacchas or fountains and many other constructions. The Intihuatana or solar clock is perhaps the best-known structure in this sector.
     • Residential sector or Hurin,  In this sector, are located the houses or dwellings that are very striking, but there are also outstanding structures such as the Temple of the Condor, the Hall of Water Mirrors, prisons and the Sacred Rock.

2. 2Agricultural Sector

   • This sector was dedicated to agriculture, and where you can appreciate the beautiful Andenes, terraces destined for cultivation, built in a staggered way on the slopes of the mountain on which is located Machu Picchu and occupy a good part of the city.
